Maggie Katz, CPA
I began my career in the nonprofit world straight out of college, starting as a staff accountant while earning my Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) credential. I worked my way up to accounting manager, then financial analyst, and, finally, interim controller at Lutheran Social Services, where I spent 11 years. I enjoy the detail work of accounting along with the mentoring aspect. As a self-proclaimed numbers nerd, I found that I wanted to share my skills and expertise to support and guide others in their businesses.
In 2012 I decided to take on a new adventure by starting my own accounting consultancy. I work with a variety of companies including group homes, medical equipment sales, an organic farm market, and more. I understand that owning a business is a journey and one of the biggest lessons we learn along the way is to ask for help when we need it, especially when we recognize that there are just some areas where we could use additional assistance and expertise. Through sharing my passion and experience in accounting, it is my goal to help you stay on course as you navigate your business.
When I’m not crunching numbers, I spend my free time enjoying Lake Country living with my husband, Matt, and our pup, Paddle. I love to venture outside whenever I can!
